President's Report
We at the Moreland Wolves Soccer Club are looking towards encouraging and empowering our club members and players, from our juniors and seniors and remembering our fallen heroes (in which we had two pass away at a young age of 35 and 39 last year).
Whilst these tragic events occurred, we, as a club, were brought closer as friends even though we experienced this sadness in 2008. We have grown and bonded more as a unit and look forward to 2009 with the challenges which lie ahead.
We have a strong interest in developing our existing seven (7) junior squads and two (2) senior teams. We have brought through 5 players from our under 16’s through to the Senior squad and are looking to bring through at least 8 more this coming season. This in our view will strength our team on the ground and secure our future. We have also had interest (from the local women in the area) in the creation of a women’s team and will be pursuing that further before the next season starts.
We now have a younger and more vibrant committee which is willing to invest their time and commit themselves to developing the club, which will increase morale, and let us enjoy the great game of football (aka Soccer) and everything it has to offer.
